Presentations for Teachers & Parents
Presentation covering emerging and relevant substance-use concerns for parents and teachers to be aware of. Includes topics such as prescription medication misuse, counterfeit pills, kratom, delta-8, underage drinking and cannabis use, fentanyl, & nicotine pouches.

Safe Medication Storage & Disposal
PBCHP provides locking medication storage boxes free to the community and to local clinics such as providers of medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. We also provide Deterra medication disposal bags for at home environmentally safe medication disposal. We can also provide educational presentations in partnership with Pen Bay Pharmacy on these topics, as well as medication interaction.

Tobacco Policy Support
Workplace and organizational policies are one of the most effective tools to reduce use, protect non-users, and support those who want to quit. What PBCHP Can Offer (at no cost):

Assistance businesses, schools, or other entities in updatng their current policies regarding tobacco/nicotine use

Providing free signages regarding policy

Providing info on free cessation support

Cannabis Safe Storage
PBCHP provides free locking and scent proof cannabis safe storage backs for local cannabis retailers and directly to interested individuals to promote safe storage in the home. This prevents accidental ingestion by children or pets, and prevents theft or misuse.

Re-Entry Support Backpack Program
PBCHP provides brand-new backpacks full of supplies, resources & information for people exiting incarceration and re-entering the community. Before this program and others like it, folks exited incarceration with a trash bag to hold their belongings.
This program is funded by a fundraiser every year. Please consider donating or donating a new backpack!

Nutrition Education
Nourish ME will offer flexible, community-based programming that may include:

Cooking and food skills workshops with children or adults

Recipe cards for food pantries, help yourself shelves, and community members

Photovoice Project
A resilience building program with school age kids using disposable cameras to capture what inspires strength, connection, and hope.

A Naloxone training that focuses on stigma reduction, community safety, and overdose response. Important, empowering information for youth and adults of all ages.
