Breaking news! We're offering a new lineup of free, virtual nutrition classes designed for adults across Knox County. Whether you're navigating mealtimes with little ones, cooking for one or two, exploring recovery, or simply trying to make meals work on a tight budget—we’ve got a class for you.

Each series is hosted live on Zoom and features interactive discussions, practical tools, and approachable strategies you can use right away.

Participants will explore topics like:

  • Eating well on a budget

  • Simple meal planning and grocery shopping

  • Food and mood—how what we eat affects how we feel

  • Quick cooking tips and ingredient swaps

  • Engaging family-friendly routines around food

Classes are led by Day A. Arnold, BSND, our county's SNAP-Ed Community Nutritionist & Educator, and are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and grounded in real-life solutions that meet you where you are.

👉 You can view full class descriptions, dates, and flyers on our SNAP-Ed homepage. Flyers include a QR code for registering for the class that best fits your life and interests.

📅 Upcoming Series Include:

  • Eat Well, Play Hard (Parents & guardians of preschool-aged children) – Starts April 22

  • Eat to Recover (Adults in recovery from substance use) – Starts April 22

  • Eat Well, Feel Well (Young adults 18–35) – Starts April 23

  • Nutrition for a Balanced Life (Adults 35–50) – Starts April 23

Please help spread the word!

All classes are cost-free, open to SNAP-eligible adults, and designed to be supportive—not prescriptive. We believe everyone deserves access to useful, judgment-free information and the opportunity to build skills around food and wellness at their own pace.
